Overview:
**Change Grow Live** are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Families Worker to join a dynamic team committed to supporting families, carers and significant others who have been affected by someone drug and/or alcohol issues.

The post holder will develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes and reduce the risk and harm to individuals, children and families. Our aim is to build resilience and minimise the impact of parental or other family member's substance misuse.

**Where**: Tower Hamlets, London

**Hours**: 37.5h per week

**Salary**:£27,449.53 - £31,529.41 Pro Rata (CGL Points 23-28) Dependant on experience.

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- To work closely and proactively with the family unit to support positive and sustainable outcomes. This may include whole family activities, parenting support programs, harm reduction and supporting referral into adult treatment services where appropriate.
- To holistically support those affected by someone else’s substance misuse, using a range of interventions including group work, 1:1 work, whole family interventions including the delivery of MPACT and Craft programs, safety planning and
- To develop and deliver training to other professionals on the issues facing CYP and families in respect to substance
- Provide assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated care planning and after care support, including transfer of care.
- Work closely with your service’s Safeguarding Lead, to ensure all issues and concerns are escalated and dealt with quickly and
- To work closely and effectively with colleagues, particularly THINK Family worker, Counselling Coordinator, Treatment Care Coordinators and Recovery Workers.

**About you**:

- Experience of working with families who have multiple risk factors g., Parental mental health, parental substance misuse, domestic violence, anti-social behaviour, unemployed, poor / unsuitable housing, parental disability, parental learning disability
- Level 3 qualification in a related health & social care discipline or higher
- Experience of delivering 1:1 and group work, including evidenced based interventions
- Experience of working with families, carers and significant others who are affected by someone else ‘substance
- Experience of working in close partnership with key stakeholders including Children’s Services, schools, primary care and contributing to / chairing multi-agency meetings
- The ability to undertake comprehensive assessments, care-planning, case management and reviews
- Experience of delivering training to professionals
- The ability and willingness to be empathetic, inclusive and non-judgemental in your practice
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends if requested.
