**About the role and the service.**

**Job responsibilities**
- Supporting teams who work within individuals who have complex and challenging needs, including presenting with challenging behaviours.
- Work with regional management groups within Perthyn to establish where your support needs to be focused.
- Working in people’s homes alongside staff teams to model and coach effective working practices.
- Completing PBS related assessments and incorporating the results into accessible reports for managers and staff teams.
- Analysing information and data relating to people you are working with and producing reports which reflect this.
- Be able to build professional relationships with external agencies and professionals, and to collaborate to ensure the best outcomes are met for the people we support.
- Develop and update PBS Plans and related documents in line with changes in need and presenting behaviour.
- Keep up to date with current best practice and knowledge requirements to ensure that your advice and guidance is always relevant.
- Lead training for staff in PBS, use of non-restrictive and restrictive reactive interventions, Autism awareness, mental health awareness and other related specialist areas.
- Support best practice around the use of physical interventions, and promote the reduction of restrictive practices.
- Undertake ongoing professional development via training, further qualifications, and attendance at professional forums.

**About you**
- Have the relevant qualifications in Social Care (e.g., QCF Level 3), Positive Behaviour Support, Nursing, or Psychology.
- Have a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Positive Behavioural Support or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards attaining one.
- Have experience in delivering training courses.
- Have a training qualification or a willingness to work towards it.
- You must have at least 3 years of experience working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviour in social care services, healthcare services, or clinical support teams.
- Be an excellent communicator and have effective teaching skills.
- Have knowledge of assessment methodology and PBS.
- Possess excellent IT skills (must be familiar with Microsoft Office software) and the ability to write detailed reports are required.
- You must have a full driver’s licence, access to a car, and be willing to travel to any of our services.
- You must be physically fit, as this can be a demanding job that includes delivering physical training and supporting people directly alongside staff teams.
