We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered practitioner to join our CAMHS crisis service in the south of the county (12 month secondment or fixed term posts also considered).

The team work with children and young people under 18 years old who are acutely mentally unwell and require a mental health triage/assessment, crisis support, intensive home treatment or hospital admission. We strive to keep young people out of hospital by offering an enhanced home treatment model, if a young person is admitted to hospital we will work closely with them to repatriate them home as soon as possible. We work jointly with CAMHS eating disorder service.

The team's main office base is Boston however there is scope to negotiate your base for travel expense purposes (e.g. Grantham/Lincoln).

The service works closely with other CYP services and offers a 7 day week service. Working hours of the team are 8.45hrs-19.00hrs, 7 days a week. We work closely as a team, with a shared caseload.

We offer extensive training in the teams, including CBT, DBT, EMDR etc and run groups for young people within the service. As a service we like to encourage innovation and staff development.

Working within CYP services to deliver a prompt and effective crisis service for CYP under the age of 18. Duties will include shift co-ordination on some days, triage and assessment, multi agency working and liaison, engagement and outreach, interventions for CYP with low mood, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, self harm management, safety planning, risk assessing, and offering family/carers support.

To ensure the team provides a high standard of clinical care by providing safe and effective treatment for children/young people and their families/carers.
You will be responsible for managing complex referrals and assessments coming into the service and the day to day running of the team and service.
Work collaboratively with children and young people and their carers to formulate a care plan to be delivered by the team in the community.
Provide ongoing leadership and support by taking on the lead professional role in complex cases during the treatment period and up to transfer/discharge. This role includes day to day shift to enable the service to provide a rapid response to children and young people presenting with urgent and emergency mental health presentations over a 24/7 rota. Core hours of CCETT are 8.45hrs-19.00hrs, 7 days a week. Out of hours provision is currently being picked up by the CYP Mental health liaison service based at Lincoln who are based within CCETT and doing waking night shifts. CCETT also provide an intensive home treatment service to prevent admission to inpatient beds and to facilitate early discharge.
You will provide professional advice and support to other teams, agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
