Sustainability Compliance Officer

One of our global clients are looking for Sustainability Manager to work in the north west of England.
The primary objective of this role is to enhance the visibility and reputation of energy solutions at a regional level. This involves creating Zero Carbon roadmaps to address the specific challenges faced by key clients. The goal is to develop and present proposals for clients and consultants, aiming to secure profitable Energy Solution offerings. Meeting the regional growth targets set for the Sustainability division is also a key responsibility.
Additionally, the role involves providing guidance to the business on environmental and sustainability issues. This includes collaborating closely with various departments and teams, offering support and guidance on matters related to the environment and sustainability.
Moreover, it is important to understand, implement, and adhere to the company's Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policy and strategy. As the role entails managing a team, it is crucial to ensure that all employees under your supervision also comply with the SHEQ requirements. Upholding the highest standards of SHEQ at all times is a significant aspect of the role.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Create effective partnerships and programs to increase the effectiveness and visibility of our Business Unit’s sustainability work.
- Find & Secure Profitable Pipeline
- Identify, develop, and secure Energy Solutions for strategic clients.in the Northeast.
- Provide and receive information of complex nature relating to energy management, carbon reduction, sustainability, and governance matters.
- Lead sustainability behaviour and cultural change at Engie NE engaging staff to participate in sustainability initiatives.
- Motivate and engage colleagues to ensure a collaborative culture consistent with Engie and Client's values.
- Develop relationships and partnerships with sustainability stakeholders.
- Drive forward innovation
- promote V Charge and community heating schemes to all clients including full operational delivery.
- Technical Sustainability Support to Region - Covering both new build and refurbishment activities in the region.
- Understanding of Energy Sector - To have a wide knowledge and understanding of the Energy & M & E Services Sector and pass this Knowledge and learning into the regional teams.
- Annalise external factors and emerging policy areas in order to identify potential opportunities and risks, always focused on the North West’s inclusive, sustainable growth agenda.
- Lead and control all relevant functional budgets to ensure governance, value for money and cost.
