**About Us**:Age Concern Bracknell Forest, a well-established charity supporting the elderly for over 50 years, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 'Day Centre Manager' to lead our cherished Day Centre. **Responsibilities**: As the Senior Carer and Team Leader, you will oversee all aspects of our Day Centre, ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment for our members and staff team.

**Remit**:
To provide day-to-day leadership and management of the charity's small care team and Day Centre facility. Including (but not limited to) all areas of the provision including: direct care support, mealtime preparation, toileting / medication assistance, mobility assistance, staff management, budget responsibilities and recruitment.

**Main Role**:
To deliver high-quality care standards that are inline with CQC standards using internal tools and any other identified processes to work towards improving outcomes for service users and their families.

To work directly with vulnerable adults and their families in the Day Centre on a day-to-day basis.

The Senior Carer and Team Leader will lead and manage the planning, development, and delivery of a stimulating and varied roster of activities that are inclusive, engaging, and encourage active participation among our Day Centre members.

To work in partnership with all professionals to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable adults and their families.

To ensure accurate, timely, factual, and reflective case recording on all internal systems in place and to ensure that all recordings are up to date.

To respect and promote the dignity and welfare (both physical and emotional) of service users supporting them with all aspects of care including (but not limited to) toileting, support with eating, mobility and medication.

To follow all policies and procedures and work in accordance with Age Concern Bracknell Forest’s values in order to meet the needs of service users.

To promote and safeguard the welfare of the vulnerable adults who access our services.

Provide effective leadership and support for the care team, acting as a positive role model.

Support and assist new (and existing) colleagues with the completion of induction programs, training, and competency assessments.

Managing staff schedules, including holiday requests, sickness reporting.

The Senior Carer and Team Leader will lead by example, demonstrate best practices, motivate, support, and mentor the care team offering support through supervisions, appraisals, target setting and any other identified managerial procesess.

**Salary**: £23,114.00-£24,500.00 per year

Licence/Certification:
