Workshop Mechanic

Genpower Ltd, established in 2006 in the exquisite Pembrokeshire Coast are the exclusive distributor of Hyundai Power Products for the UK and Irish marketplaces, alongside our own branded machinery ranges available to fulfil worldwide. In 2022, we became the worldwide distributor for JCB portable power and petrol equipment and JCB Tools - corded, cordless, hand and bench top products in the growing range.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced technician / engineer to join our team.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on a variety of power equipment including generators, pressure washers, compressors and a full garden machinery range.
- Performing fault diagnosis to identify problems.
- Administering and promoting root cause analysis for top quality issues identified by the business.
- Resolving common and complex technical problems.
- Supporting the business and customers in all quality related issues through the use of continuous improvement and quality techniques.
- Undertaking quality checks and reporting defects to the Quality Controller
- Completing all relevant documentation as required.
- Supporting with the training of other team members.
- Documenting, monitoring, tracking and submitting all testing and inspection records and data.
- Following processes to ensure the highest possible safety, legality and quality standard is maintained.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical skills (essential).
- Electrical skills (highly desirable).
- Able to communicate clearly.
- Demonstrates high professional standards.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to understand instruction and work unsupervised.
- Works safely and in line with all policies.
- Basic IT skills.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
