An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk post on Ward 31 that will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward. Ward 31 is a 16-bed medical ward caring for adults specialising in general medicine, which is planned to open in November as a planned phased approached to our winter planning.

This role has a wide variety of administrative tasks that need to be completed. The role is ideal for someone who has willingness to learn new skills, can work in a busy environment. The vacancy is full time 37.5 hrs per week, and the working hours will be from Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00.
- To check demographic details are correct on admission and discharge.
- To arrange transport for patients attending other hospitals/departments.
- To answer the telephone, taking messages or transferring calls as appropriate.
- To co-ordinate outpatient appointments prior to discharge.
- To prepare any discharged patients paperwork for scanning.
- To provide support to nursing staff for general patient requests.
- Liaise with Informatics regarding electronic equipment.
- To update EDD's for all patient's on the ward daily.
