We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support the business in meeting compliance with all statutory and legislative Health and Safety requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- To develop and maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures across the business, in line with current legislation.
- Accident monitoring, which can include investigations.
- Audit and review risk assessments, method statements and Safe Operating Procedures.
- Maintain current health and safety accreditation's.
- Carry out site visits and audit onsite working practices.
- Develop and carry out staff health and safety training.
- Deal with outside agencies to source additional training requirements.
- Carry out accident investigations with recommendations and remedies.
- Identify accident trends and mitigation's.
- Provide detailed activity reports for monthly board meetings with findings and recommendations.
- Provide advice regarding industry good practice.
- Continually improve your knowledge of health and safety practices and new legislation.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Considerable experience working within Health and Safety.
- Experience of health and safety in a healthcare environment.
- Experience of RIDDOR regulations and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Working effectively with others.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise.
- Good Microsoft skills.
- Process driven with a genuine passion for health and safety, quality and the environment.
