The role of an Adviser is to Support individuals to overcome barriers, moving them into employment. This is achieved by maintain ongoing frequent contact and support for a caseload of customers, including 1-2-1 and group activities. Using diagnostics, planned approach, questioning skills and networking to help customers ultimately work towards sustained employment.

**Adviser is responsible for**:

- Working on performance driven contracts, targeted to supporting people into work
- Working to quality and compliance standards as detailed by funding bodies
- Dealing with individuals who may have multiple problems, including vulnerable people
- Work in partnership with a variety of agencies to provide the best support to customers
- Act as a “key worker” to empower individuals, prioritise their goals using action plans
- Include other progress measures to move the customer forward i.e. training courses
- Manage and update information resources/systems in line with guidelines
- Participate in training, meetings, share best practice/good case studies when needed
- Able to travel if required around the borough in order to support customers with any barriers
- Work under pressure, meet deadlines and achieve KPI’s in a target driven environment

**Essential Criteria**:

- Commitment to supporting all people, regardless of circumstances
- Possess a persistent, assertive and challenging approach
- Ability for adapting service delivery at speed against performance targets
- Able to travel, by car or public transport i.e. training days or customers in comfortable environment
- Are you able to work flexibly outside of office hours when required in order to meet contractual demands
- Work towards NVQ Level 4 qualification ad well as any other additional training set by funding bodies
- Engaging with employers to directly meet both their needs and the needs of people you are supporting
- Ability to help people to prioritise goals and plan actions
- Reflect on progress made and help customers remain motivated
- Managing information, recording and storing data securely and safely, using multiple IT systems
- Follow various policies and values specified by the council and funding bodies i.e. Safeguarding

**More Information**
- Office Working Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Contract and Customer priorities require occasional evenings and weekends i.e. Jobs Fair, Bespoke clients
- There is a some Home working and more Office working, the role is not 100% working from home, majority is office/outreached based.
- Working on initial 3 month contract via a recruitment agency with view to extend onto Company contract

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
