**Preceptorship / Newly Qualified Nurse**

**Location**:Ayr, West Central Scotland

**Salary: £31,900 - £37,455 per annum**

**Hours**:Full Time and Part Time hours available

**Shifts**:1 long week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 1 short week (Wednesday, Thursday)

08:00-8:15 (15-minute handover)

**Company / Hospital information**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a preceptorship / newly qualified RMN and RNLD to join a warm and welcoming low secure Hospital. Supporting Males and Females with Mental Illness and/or personality disorders, located in the coastal town of Ayr in the West Central Scotland.

A low secure service, spread across 3 wards:
12 bedded male admissions unit

12 bedded female admissions unit

12 bedded mixed gender rehabilitation unit

**Specialised step-down**

Offering specialised step-down facilities to enable patients to continue their recovery journey, maintaining good Mental Health and promote social inclusion for discharge into community living.

**Job role**:

- Provide a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder
- Develop therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
- Contribute to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
- At a more senior level, you'll also need to lead shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
- Follow all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
