Cell Culture Scientist

CK Group are recruiting for a Cell Culture Scientist to join a company in the healthcare industry at their site based in Worthing initially on a contract basis for 6 months.
**Salary**:
£15.02 per hour PAYE

Our client is a science-led global healthcare company with a special purpose to improve the quality of human life. This site specialises in the production of penicillin products and employs staff in manufacturing, technical and specialist support functions.
**Location**:
Worthing. A multi-functioning manufacturing plant, this site is situated 10 miles west of Brighton and is one of the biggest seaside towns on the South Coast. The site offers free parking and canteen facilities for all staff.

**Cell Culture Scientist Role**:

- Participate in generation and maintenance of calli and generate cell cultures in liquid suspension.
- Design and implement a high throughput screening methodology for assessing calli and improving QS21 production.
- Identify new technologies, methodologies and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all data is recorded in appropriate format. Analyse data using appropriate statistical software.
- Adhere to and help maintain the highest levels of Safety and GLP across the department.
**Your Background**:

- Understanding of aseptic techniques essential
- Previous experience of working in a laboratory environment ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Computer literate - Excel/Word/ Power point
- Able to work across multi-disciplined teams
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
