**Secondary School English Teacher | Lambeth | £120 - £160 per day**

Teaching Personnel are looking for an excellent English teacher to work at a **friendly and welcoming** secondary school in Lambeth. This role is a **long-term, full-time role** commencing after **February half-term** and up until the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend. The school seek to bring out the best in every student and give them the knowledge, skillsand experiences they need to excel in today’s world. If you are a qualified and experienced English teacher who would like to make a real difference by teaching secondary aged students in a classroom, we would love to hear from you

As an English teacher, your role will involve:

- Planning lessons towards KS3/KS4 English curriculum objectives.
- Delivering and teaching lessons with enthusiasm.
- Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning, and reporting to parents and other staff members when necessary.
- Sourcing the resources and supplies needed to teach lessons.
- Mark and assess the work of students.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A UK recognised QTS.
- Ideally, some experience teaching English to students in KS3/KS4, including GCSE.
- Be confident in using a variety of behaviour management strategies, including when presented with challenging behaviour.
- To be passionate about teaching and the impact of a high-quality education on children’s learning progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
