**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of between £35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- Meeting with customers and XPO operations to understand the business requirements from the XPO IT systems and capture the information required to design the IT systems.
- Design IT solutions once captured the requirements.
- Provide support to the engineering team to guide them from a user perspective when designing technical solutions.
- Get involved in configuring transport management systems ahead of implementation
- Implement new systems on our sites, acting as an IT Coordinator monitoring the success of new processes and logging/prioritising any issues that arise
- Ensure that project, support, training, and user documentation is accurately tracked and recorded.
- Provide post-implementation system support and eventually hand over the support team.
- Demo to prospective new Customers various different solutions and offerings within our portfolio.
- Interact with existing customer to discuss CI opportunities, labour saving initiatives, further growth and enhancements.
- Manage projects with our engineering team from a UK IT team prospective to guide the direction of new developments to suit the UK business (Drive XPO).
- 3rd line Support for projects and hardware
- Work with 3rd parties to design and deliver new solutions.
**What you need to succeed at XPO**:
- Familiar with Transport/Logistics operations
- Experience and knowledge of system integration technologies, practices and procedures.
- Good understanding of I.T development Life cycle
- Good interpersonal skills, able to quickly build rapport
- Able to learn new systems quickly, & work under pressure
- Flexible approach to work, Patient and methodical
- Capable of working independently, managing priorities and time
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleague within the business respectfully and with assurance
