**Location**:Cambridge, CB5 8PA
**Salary**:£30k - £35k+ per annum
**Contract**:Full Time, Permanent
**Hours**: 8.45am - 5.30pm Mon to Fri, plus participation in a night time/weekend out of hours on-call rota.

We are seeking to recruit a Funeral Operative to work with us to maintain standards and take our company forward.

**Funeral Operative - The Role**:
You will be required to complete a wide range of practical funeral related tasks which will involve heavy lifting.

The role will also include chauffeuring, and therefore a smart appearance and full, clean driving licence is essential.

**You will**:

- Support ceremonial aspects of funerals
- Work with nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities to bring individuals into our care
- Fit and trim coffins
- Maintain funeral and ambulance fleets to a high stand of cleanliness and presentation.

**Funeral Operative - What we need from you**:
Previous experience within a similar environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Be conscientious and reliable, flexible, resourceful and well presented
- Be punctual with good time management
- Be a good team player
- Be empathetic and able to communicate at all levels
- Have a clean drivers’ licence with access to your own transport
- Have the ability to carry out a range of physical tasks including heavy lifting.

There will be a requirement to work from any of our offices
