We are looking for a Café Assistant to join our Catering team. The position is for 14 hours per week. But you may be required to cover for other staff member as and when required.

Minimum 8.75 hours per week working one weekend in three on a rota basis - the working hours are expected to be 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The position will be for Every Thursday and Friday and every third weekend

Duties will include:

- Serving customers (residents, staff and visitors) quickly and correctly
- Ability to bake cakes
- Cooking of food
- Utilising excellent communication skills to ensure quality of service
- Handling cash
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment at all times
- Opening and closing the cafe
- Must be able to work alone and as part of a team

Requirements for the role include:

- Knowledge of Customer Care
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Previous experience is desirable

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 14 per week

**Experience**:

- Catering: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
