Farnborough, United Kingdom Experis LTD Full time

**Job title: Senior System Engineer**

**Location: Bristol, Farnborough, Malvern, Portsmouth or Dorset**

**About the role**

Experis are looking for talented and ambitious Senior System Engineers to join a high performing team to develop and integrate noise ranging and tracking capabilities for the British Underwater Test and Evaluation Centre (BUTEC).

The role would suit systems engineers who are curious, enthusiastic and passionate about systems engineering with experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Defence Systems
- Systems engineering best practice in line with ISO 15288
- Requirements engineering
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- System architecture and design
- Underwater systems and technologies

**What will I be doing?**

We work in an evolving Agile way, so you will be involved in; daily stand-ups, planning sessions, demonstrations and retrospectives, and you will be expected to have a say in the direction of the work in upcoming sprints as well as helping to assess thequality of the work delivered by others. There will also be opportunities to visit the range and work hands on with test rigs with the wider teams.

Typically, our systems engineers are involved in a wide range of activities. We operate a matrix structure within the company, where our engineers join a functional team which is responsible for their day to day pastoral care, personal development and progression, and are then part of a project team responsible for delivering technical solutions to our customers.

This allows Systems Engineers to get involved in activities outside of their projects should they wish, for example getting involved in working groups for particular topics, guiding their own training and development (supported by a personal developmentfund) or networking across the organisation.

We operate an adaptive working policy which facilitates a mix of home and office working tailored to the needs of both the employee and the project. In a typical week an employee may choose to spend some time in the office networking, be invited in for ameeting or workshop and spend some focused time working at home with fewer interruptions.

**What do I need?**

We are seeking skills in one or more of the following areas:

- Systems Engineering
- Lifecycle management
- System Architecture
- Requirements management
- Testing and Integration, particularly in military environments
- SC level security clearance
