Kitchen & Laundry Assistant

**Grade/Salary: ME4 £21,783 to £22,179 per annum inclusive-Term Time**

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen & Laundry Assistant for our busy nursery in Mitcham.

The post is 20 hours a week, working Monday to Friday 12.00 to 4.30 (30 minute break), term time only.

The work entails cooking the evening 'tea', washing up all equipment used after lunch and tea, washing and cleaning floors and surfaces in the kitchen and other areas of the nursery when required. Working alongside the catering officer, there will also be shared cleaning of fridges and freezers. In addition there will be items to launder 3 times a week and ensuring that all bathrooms and dining areas are replenished with products. The person will also be responsible for maintaining the stock room and laundry room, alerting the manager when stocks are running low.

Where possible, in the absence of the catering officer, additional hours starting at 9.30 can be offered so that the lunch can be prepared and cooked.

The post requires an enhanced DBS.
