**The Team**

The Analytics and Financial Modelling capability is an exciting and fast-growing team that sits within our Deals & Consulting business. You will primarily work on the Analytics side of the team and become part of a company-wide network of analytics experts.

Within the team you will be solving complex client problems with the latest digital tools. As an Analytics and Modelling function across Grant Thornton, we pride ourselves on building robust and elegant solutions that solve these problems in the best possibleway. Some recent projects in our team include:

- Using low code platforms to implement machine learning models
- Visualising millions of lines of customer usage data to establish churn and customer value
- Performing scenario analysis to advise on the optimal financing solution for a company

**A look into the role**

As a Manager within our team, you will:

- Have real enthusiasm for using data to solve interesting and complex problems
- Understand the latest tools across data analytics to engage with clients and colleagues in meaningful dialogue
- Build and adapt data tools to solve our clients’ problems
- Deliver training and be a mentor for more junior members of the analytics team
- Be a focal point and proponent for data analytics across the firm
- Work in a highly collaborative environment across many departments
- Manage the process of specification, build and delivery of data tools to our clients
- Review the work of junior team members, ensuring technical excellence and brand compliance, and giving appropriate guidance and feedback

**Knowing you’re right for us**

Joining us as a Manager, the **minimum criteria **you’ll need is to have:

- Experience working in or with a data analytics consulting or in-house FP&A team
- Coding experience in multiple languages, including for example: SQL, Python, R, DAX, VBA
- Experience using one or more visualisation tools, including: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or data processing tools including: Alteryx, Quantrix, KNIME
- Knowledge of the latest low-code tools on the market
- A basic understanding of statistics
- Experience managing your own projects
- Excellent Excel proficiency and familiarity with advanced techniques
- Understanding of finance and accounting principles

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
- Experience in data engineering and warehousing
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques
- Financial or decision modelling exposure
- An accountancy/finance qualification or equivalent experience
