**At JSP we pride ourselves on the quality of the service we offer with a client centred approach respecting the individuality of each case and each person.**

We have an wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Female* Support Worker preferably with a full clean driving licence in the Alnwick area. The role will be supporting a young woman with a brain injury, both within her own home and local community.

The role will include days, weekend shifts and sleep in duties on a rota basis.

You will support with our client with personal care, daily living tasks, arts and crafts and shopping, and will help to maintain and promote her independence. You are required to assist with moving and handling and drive her Motability vehicle.
- We require Female Support Workers due to the occupational requirements of the client making this role compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010

**What you'll be working**:

- Up to 32 hours per week plus 16 hours sleep shifts per week
- This role includes days, weekend shifts and sleep in duties

**What you will be doing**:

- Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems
- Liaise with and support the family as required
- Assist the client with personal care as needed
- Moving and handling support - this will require you to have the physical ability to support
- Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
- Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate

**About us**:
JSP Ltd provides an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injury. Qualified staff assess clients’ needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.

**JSP are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client, **however, JSP oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.
