**Senior Finance Assistant (Part-Time)**

AJ Chambers is currently working with an Accountancy Practice with an excellent opportunity to provide an outsourced finance department to a large client. They are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant on a part-time, permanent basis, to work withtheir existing team.

Days and hours for this position can be agreed upon to suit the successful individual.

Reporting to the senior management team, the Senior Finance Assistant will assist with the day-to-day purchase and sales ledger activities, general finance support, month-end reporting and statutory HMRC returns.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- You will produce Month End Management Accounts.
- You will be involved in HMRC reporting.
- You will prepare VAT returns.
- You will deal with Bank Reconciliations - including foreign currency.
- You will complete Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- You will complete Credit card reconciliations.
- You will complete Monthly nominal ledger reconciliations and corrections.
- You will complete journals for month-end reports including prepayments and accruals.
- You will do Payment Runs.
- You will assist with year-end account preparation.
- You will assist with the year-end audit.
- You will assist with month-end job costings and reporting.
- You will assist with sales and purchase ledger processing.
- You will take on credit control procedures.
- You will assist with other accounting duties as required.
- You will also assist with any ad-hoc administration tasks from Management.

**Your Knowledge/Skills and Experience**:

- You have a minimum of 2 years of accounts experience on sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
- You have experience in the preparation of month-end journals and management accounts.
- You have experience in dealing with HMRC returns and reporting.
- You are AAT Qualified (AAT Level 3 considered).
- You are an advanced user of MS Excel (not to Macro level).
- You have experience using Sage 50.
- You can quickly pick up new software skills.
- You have good interpersonal skills.

**Remuneration and Rewards**
- Base salary of £27,000 - £32,000 (Pro-Rata)
- Annual Salary increase in line with inflation
