We are looking for a hard working, motivated and enthusiastic team player to join our statutory Youth Justice Partnership. The pace is fast and the work can be complex and you will need excellent engagement and communication skills, as well as being able to complete detailed case management work on our IT systems.

Safeguarding is about evidencing as well as the interventions you carry out directly with the young person, so you must be strong in both areas.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can work independently and as part of a team, and has experience working within a multi-agency arena.

We are looking for people who can work in an extremely tight team but also make good risk management decisions alone, once trained.

The ‘Child First’ principle underpins the work of the partnership and therefore applicants need to be child centred in their approach.

Time keeping and flexibility is key to ensure the work is complete and on time to meet youth justice national standards.

You must be able to plan and organise your work and be able to work in a multi-agency manner in line with our One Family Approach. You must have a can-do attitude as this work can be very demanding at times but at the same time extremely rewarding.

Working as a member of the YJP team, contributing to the planning and operation of a range of programmes that address early and pre-offending behaviour.

Post holder must be able to work flexibly as interventions could include some evening and possibly weekend work

Consulting with youth justice managers and relevant partners, devise and develop appropriate materials and programmes to aid service delivery, improve engagement and promote a reduction in offending and anti-social behaviours

Assisting young people to make the maximum and most appropriate use of community resources available, in relation to their individual needs

Assisting in the planning and delivery of group work programmes, which address a range of criminogenic issues and preventative strategies and work jointly with partners in health and police to ensure compliance with legislation and guidance and reduce health inequalities in the families and young people on the caseload

Maintaining a service specific database and provide accurate and timely reports as required to the Head of the Youth Justice Partnership, for the YJB, the police and other statutory bodies and report on outcomes and outputs with regard to activity and performance

Supporting the Team Manager to recruit, manage, develop and supervise a group of volunteers to support the delivery of statutory youth justice services in North Lincolnshire

Co-ordinating a number of community reparation activities, including the completion of health and safety assessments and risk assessments in relation to offending

Supporting the co-ordination of out of hours services to ensure round the clock support to the police, volunteers, paid staff and young people at the police station and court

Development and delivery of programmes of training in relation to the development of Restorative Practice across the council and its partners.

Working to support an integrated team model, where there are common functions regardless of profession or team activity
