Maintenance & Facilities Manager required for a luxury brand, based in central London.
To coordinate repair, maintenance and improvement works to the buildings and facilities within the stores and premises (including Head Office and Warehouse) and to support and assist in all store refurbishment projects.
The position supports their vision to achieve the highest standards in their stores in terms of store appearance and functioning.**Key responsibilities**:Premises Maintenance
- Organise, coordinate, and oversee planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance activities whilst aiming to establish the correct balance between risk, quality, and affordability. This includes HVAC, cleaning, security systems (CCTV, Access Control,intruder alarm, smoke), fire alarm, emergency lighting, pest control, rubbish collection, lifts maintenance, floor maintenance, grounds maintenance, lighting control systems, and any other areas as required.
- Communicate and liaise with the stores to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
- Propose and manage cost-effective solutions and ensure a quick turnaround of repairs for smooth functioning of the stores.
- Ensure brand complies with all statutory regulations and codes of practice.
- Maintain all statutory testing, inspection and records and liaise with all Local Authority and statutory representatives.
- Compile a full programme of documented Health & Safety inspections, audits, and checks (HSA, FRA, PAT, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, TIR).
- Liaise with external Health & Safety Consultants in the provision of Health & Safety services, focusing on the physical elements
- Liaise closely with Retail Department to assist in the compliance of existing Health and Safety policy.
- Prepare and update planned maintenance schedules and budgets and share with Finance Director.
- Manage maintenance contractors and ensure they are adequately trained and equipped so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
- Negotiate continuation contracts with key maintenance partners, widen the pool of outsourced contractor.
- Track, analyse and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilisation, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, etc.
