Fight for Peace is partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Head of Finance role on a permanent, full-time basis. Fight for Peace is dedicated to supporting young people to reach their full potential, and to promoting peace. Fight for Peacebelieves that for any young person to thrive they need access to opportunities, support, and a safe environment. In the communities they work, young people often lack access to these basic rights and this can act as a barrier to their development. High levelsof violence in these communities disproportionately affect young people and further exacerbates this problem.

Responsible to the CEO, this Head of Finance will provide financial leadership and ensure robust and sustainable financial management, strongfinance management processes, and strong financial governance to Fight for Peace and its subsidiaries.

**The key responsibilities will be**:

- Lead financial support and scenario planning with the CEO in the strategic planning process.
- Identify key risks and challenges in the strategic plan and ensure risks are managed appropriately and issues raised to both CEO and where appropriate Audit and Risk.
- Report to the Board, Audit and Risk and Executive on the financial performance of Fight for peace raising any risks or concerns as appropriate.
- Lead in conjunction with the COO the annual business planning process ensuring financial and operational plans are inter
- connected ensuring key performance indicators and performance targets are set appropriately by teams.
- Monitor expenditure against income and produce reconciled monthly management accounts, quarterly reforecasts, and annual financial statements as required and shared with appropriate holders.
- Review current financial policies, procedures, and systems and where necessary strengthen or create new approaches.
- Liaise with external auditors to complete statutory audits within agreed timelines with the CEO.
- In conjunction with the COO lead on the development of IT systems and processes that are future proofed and enable more effective and efficient operating practices.

- Hold a CCAB accounting qualification (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ACA or equivalent).
- Have high-level charity finance management experience, including working with restricted and unrestricted income.
- Respect and promote Fight for Peace values.
- Have the ability to use their own initiative and others to achieve requirements and the capacity to perform complex tasks under pressure.
- Have excellent written and communication skills at all levels.
