Packer / Inspector

Job Purpose:

- To visually inspect parts to a given standard.
- To inspect parts using the appropriate measurement technique (if necessary).
- Record and update inspection and packing documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with other quality inspectors / production teams & management.
- Carry out product audits and sample inspection of in process and finished goods and supplier parts.
- Ensure you are using the correct safety and protective equipment as required by the customer or the area where work is undertaken.
- To ensure goods-are packed and labelled ready for despatch to daily deadlines and business objectives.

**Duties**:

- To accurately pick/check/pack all orders according to packaging specifications.
- To prepare goods to be despatched in the loading bay ready for the carrier when it arrives for collection.
- To communicate key items with the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
- To follow work instructions as needed.
- Uphold all polices in relation to health, Safety and Welfare

Skills/qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Able to perform basic maths function.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing role is preferable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability.
- Proactive and innovative.
- To work effectively on your own and as part of a team, with a positive 'can-do’ attitude.
- The ability to prioritise workload.
- The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a current clean driving license.
