Cisco Engineer

Cisco / Network Specialist required by my leading Global client.

This opportunity will include supporting the connectivity across the business and the networking infrastructure at the three regional data centres. This role will also expect collaboration with multiple vendors to maintain, migrate and design highly availablenetworks to support the business.

Managing regional data centres will include maintaining the current infrastructure, designing and implementing the Cisco ACI fabric whilst consulting with support vendors.

1. Perform the most complex system analysis that includes requirements definition, interfacing with users and providing cost and benefit analysis.

2. Keep current with networking technologies, make recommendations on solutions technologies that will enhance and optimise the network environment.

3. Create standards for I/T systems and services to provide flexibility and maintainability.

4. Act as consultant to management on significant issues.

5. Continually enhance existing networking portfolio ensuring software levels are current and at a safe harbour level.

You will possess a Degree in Computer Science (or related area) and possess sound experience with Cisco.

You will ideally have a CCNP and have sound knowledge of Cisco ACI and sound understanding of SD WAN

Previous network and communications experience essential.
- 5+ years’ experience within Information Technology industry required.
- 5+ years’ experience working in a data centre environment preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience of contract / service delivery management preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in global company preferred.
