A Building Society is looking for a Credit Risk Mortgage Consultant to work closely with very senior stakeholders to support and optimise the delivery of credit risk initiatives and credit strategy. They are looking for a Credit Risk Mortgage Consultant to manage a small team of analysts.

**THE COMPANY**:
This client is a major Building Society in the UK, currently undergoing a number of key changes in the optimisation of their Mortgage lending. They have invested heavily in business analytics and are put it at the forefront of their business.

**THE ROLE**:
As a Credit Risk Mortgage Consultant, you will be responsible for optimizing the credit policy and credit strategy, whilst also being investigative in your analysis of the data sets and reports.

In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following:

- Overseeing and managing the IFRD 9 models, climate risk models and stress testing
- Working with senior stakeholders
- Maintain and develop credit MI and portfolio monitoring.
- Managing a small team of analysts

**YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
The successful Credit Risk Mortgage Consultant will have the following skills and experience:

- Strong Mortgage Credit Risk experience
- Commercial experience working portfolio management across the credit life Cycle
- Experience working with and Credit Bureau Data
- Strong commercial experience in Risk management including IFRS9 models, Stress testing and ICAAP

**THE BENEFITS**:
The successful Credit Risk Analyst will receive between £500-600 per day for the initial 8-12 month period.

The Team:

-The data engineering team at our client comprises 5 talented individuals. They closely collaborate with the analytics function in Manchester, which focuses on pricing models. As the Technical Lead/Senior Data Engineer, you will work directly with Colin, providing expertise and guidance. The existing team handles various responsibilities such as transaction processing, account placement, board reports, financial reconciliation, and other project-based tasks.
Responsibilities:

Creating data orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Developing robust relational database structures and enterprise data warehouse procedures.
- Optimizing, automating, and productionizing business processes, data, and models.
- Providing technical mentoring to the data engineering team in an Agile or DevOps governance environment.
- Assisting decision scientists and analysts in identifying, ingesting, and analyzing new external data sources.
- No direct line management, only mentoring responsibilities.
