Diploma of Early Childhood

Southern Cross Montessori is looking for someone with a passion for interacting with children and creating dynamic learning experiences. A willingness to adopt the Montessori philosophy and principles is desirable and training in Montessori will be available.

We are a single room centre, and our classroom is home-like with lots of natural light. Our classroom provides opportunities for children to feel fulfilled and develop in a balanced way, making for a rich learning environment. We are committed to excellence in childcare and to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.

We are currently looking to recruit qualified Diploma of Early Childhood Educators for full time, part time and casual positions in our Torquay Centre, with shifts ranging from 7:45am starts to 6:15pm finishes.

The successful applicant will
- Have a Diploma in Early Childhood or Children’s Services (or a Certificate III with a willingness to undertake a Diploma).
- Traineeship available
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Current 1st Aid, Anaphylaxis and CPR
- Current Police Criminal History Check
- Be innovative, creative and motivated
- Professional in manner and appearance
