**S1008 | Home-based, Northern Ireland | 28 hours per week**

Reporting to the Engagement Lead for Northern Ireland, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across the locality and initial priority areas to deliver our outreach and engagement activity, including building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the community including NHS and third sector partners, stroke survivors and carers. They will play a key role in our engagement within the NI Health and Social Care system and with people affected by stroke here.
**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Build and maintain key relationships with local partners and stakeholders.
- Enable peer support and self-sustaining stroke communities to flourish in the locality.
- Support delivery of co-production and campaigning opportunities within the locality.
- Provide management support to volunteers including initial recruitment.
- Support delivery of a localised approach to addressing health inequalities.

**You will have experience/understanding of**:

- Managing and developing volunteers.
- Working in partnership with other organisations, ideally in voluntary, health and social care.
- Experience in engaging and influencing local decision-making.
- Developing support using co-production with people with lived experience of stroke.
- Supporting groups and developing networks.

To fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
**This is a fixed-term position for 18 months.**
