Imerys Aluminates LTD are currently recruiting a Packing and Despatch Operative to join the gang, where teamwork is the name of the game. You’ll be working in a gang of three forming a vital part of the successful and smooth running of our West Thurrocksite.

This role is offered on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern (6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm). You’ll also benefit from 28 days holiday per year along with the opportunity to join our fantastic pensionscheme. You will also have the opportunity to progress and develop through the ranks, earning nationally recognised qualifications as you do.

**The role**

This is a busy department where you’ll be on the go, from start to finish. Accuracy is key as is time management, but don’t worry, you’re in good hands with a team that will support you and show you the ropes.

Your main duties cover, but are not limited to:

- Packaging our calcium aluminate cement into large bags 'big bagging’
- Filling bulk tankers using on-site machinery
- Loading lorry IBC’s (containers)
- Inputting and maintaining accurate data on our computer systems
- Maintaining the health and safety standards on site, for yourself and others around you

Any experience working in a similar industrial setting would be advantageous, along with a solid understanding of health and safety standards/practices. If you have a forklift licence this would be a great help, but training can be provided if not.
