Transport Planner

Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading Transport & Distribution company based in the Redditch and surrounding area actively recruiting a skilled and proven Transport Planner to join their successful and expanding team.

Our client pride themselves on looking after their staff and have great staff retention company-wide. They are looking for someone to join their close knit team to assist in the management of planning the company's modern and mixed fleet.

Working across a real variety of sectors including temperature controlled logistics, event logistics, general haulage, specialist haulage/abnormal loads and complete warehousing and storage solutions.

**European Transport Planner Position Overview**

Within this role you will be responsible for the organising and day-to-day operations and logistics of about 160 - 180 trucks. You will be the 'senior figure' in the planning team overseeing and leading a team of five.

Your role will include, ensuring that transport policies are met, co-ordinating with drivers and cultivating customer relations whilst ensuring overall planning KPI's are exceeding and cut where possible.

You will need to be highly proficient in all transport policies, legislation, and procedures to do with tachograph, drivers hours and compliance.

**European Transport Planner Position Requirements**
- Proven transport planning experience (import and export from Europe)
- Knowledge and understanding of EU driving laws and regulations
- Knowledge of driver compliance, tacho data & working hours
- Flexible working approach - Essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills - Essential
- Previous experience planning and managing a variety of HGV's from class 2 - Attics

**European Transport Planner Position Remuneration**
- Salary DOE - £28-32k
- Monday - Friday (8-6)
