Forming part of an established and welcoming team the Maintenance Team Member / Handy person is responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure of the School. The post holder will be responsible for performing various repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and functional environment for pupils, teachers, staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include repairs and maintenance projects to the Schools facilities. Carpentry skills would be an advantage. The role also includes routine repairs and maintenance, installation and assembly of furniture and fittings and some renovation and remodelling. There may be a requirement to interpret blueprints and assembly instructions, measure and cut materials using hand and power tools.

Located in Stratton on the Fosse, our School includes a variety of buildings of differing size and age set in beautiful surroundings which includes residential accommodation for our pupils and communal areas and bathrooms. This is a physical job that involves lifting and carrying of equipment. Our buildings are located over several floors and the work will, in some areas, require climbing flights of stairs. This role involves working indoors and outdoors.

**Contractual Details**:
**Salary**: Competitive Salary in the range of £22 - £25k per annum, dependent on experience

**Hours**:39 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8:00 16:30, Friday 8:00 15:30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, complimentary lunch provided.

**Contract**: Permanent

**Start Date**: As Soon as Possible
