Mackenzie King is working to recruit an **Accounts Administrator** for one of our long term clients in Colchester, Essex. This role of **Accounts Administrator** is to offer vital support to the Estates Department, liaising with department heads and other stake holders. The **Accounts Administrator** will need to have a high attention to detail as well as good written and verbal communication skills. This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week, starting as a temporary assignment and then going onto be permanentposition after probation has been completed. This **Accounts administrator** role combines elements of both accounting and administration and is suited to someone who is used to using their initiative to complete a variety of tasks to supportthe department.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Checking permit request forms/invoices for correctness and against database.
- Updating parking database as required.
- Processing of online payments.
- Working with Purchase Ledger department for payment of invoices.
- Checking that the Car Fleet department hold the relevant documentation for private vehicle users.
- Arranging authorisation from the relevant line management and Estates Manager.
- Generally dealing with permit issues with branches, for example lost permits, barred access to car parks etc.
- Processing of payments and standing orders relating to rent, service charge and business rates demands.
- Checking accuracy of demands against database and council records.
- General admin to include logging payments and saving confirmations to property folders.
- Making appointments.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers.
- Liaising with landlords and tenants.
- Updating records.
- General administration and record keeping.

- Resilient personality able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
