The Opportunity
A highly successful £120m turnover company is seeking to appoint a well rounded Accountant to their team. This is a position that will support a fast moving business within the Wholesale and Retail sector operating in the UK and Europe
The Role
You’ll be overseeing a small team, being accountable for the financial control and reporting of the day to day finance operations. Typical duties are as follows:

- Production of monthly management accounts for 3 companies to tight deadlines,
- Supervision of a small team,
- Control account reconciliations,
- Accruals & prepayments,
- Inventory controls,
- Managing fixed assets register,
- General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting,
- Annual Statutory Accounts
- Assisting with Group Consolidations
- VAT
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
We’re ideally seeking qualified / finalist level ACCA however QBE will also be considered. You’ll be well rounded and versed in accounting controls and procedures, able to demonstrate the ability to instill and maintain best practice from the ground level up.
You’ll be a good team coach, a strong communicator and well organised, able to work well within an ambitious and fast moving SME company. This position would ideally suit someone from a SME background but seeking to progress and operate on a grander scale.

Hours of work is offered with a degree of flex. Homeworking 1 day per week. Parking is provided. Pension scheme, 28 days holiday. Salary guide c£40k to £45k pending experience and level of qualification.
