Job Overview:
We are currently looking to recruit someone for our Quality Assurance team at our fish processing site in Musselburgh.

Main Responsibilities:
Ensure that all start up checks have been carried out before production starts

Calibration checks of scales and probes

Quality inspection of products

Audits of quality and food safety checks, completion of paperwork from our production team, including but not limited to label checks, metal detector checks, weight checks, machine start up checks, traceability and temperature.

Sample Collection according to micro schedule

Checking product safety, legality and quality at the start and end of the production run and regularly throughout the production run.

Sign off relevant paperwork

Identification of non-conforming product and processes and ensuring that the Quality manager is informed as soon as possible.

Supporting production staff and supervisors / managers to ensure high standards are met.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene standards.

Collect and file all relevant paperwork accurately at the end of the shift.

Check start and end run of metal detector

Internal weekly/monthly audits such as GMP and GHP audits

Qualifications:

- Full training will be given

Skills:
Good communication both verbal and written

Be confident in delivering effective communication to daily contacts

Take ownership and accountability to achieve the required standards

Positive and can do attitude

Gather and record accurate information

Meet deadlines by working with colleagues and teams across the business

Basic IT literacy

Experience:
Awareness of production processes is preferred

**Salary**: From £24,960.00 per year
