Bereavement Midwife

Macclesfield Maternity Unit are looking for a Bereavement Midwife to join their team and be part of our new reinstated Obstetric Unit.
The Bereavement Midwife will provide support and specialist advice to women and their families who have experienced fetal and neonatal loss. They will also provide support to midwifery and medical staff when caring for women experiencing loss in pregnancy, stillbirth or early neonatal death.

**Hours per week**: 37.5
The post holder will provide high standards of evidence based, women and family centered bereavement care, which can be delivered in a variety of models.
The aim of this role is to assist the Lead Midwife for Bereavement to develop the service and ensure a coordinated approach to provide seamless care to women and their families who require bereavement support.
They will work collaboratively with the multi disciplinary team and assist in bereavement training for all members of staff.
