**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

Flexible hours will be considered - full time, part time, evenings and weekends. Working from home, GWH and/or from our Marlborough base at Savernake.

We are looking for experienced Audio Typists to join ourMedical Specialties Secretarial Team who can work effectively using their own initiative, as well as being part of a team.

You will be required to assist in providing an efficient quality typing service for clinical correspondence, thus supporting clinical staff in delivering excellent patient care. This will include responsibility for typing clinical correspondence for all specialties within the Division, and supporting the medical secretaries with other administrative duties such as filing and data entry.

Audio Typing and Administration

Type clinic and results letters and other patient related documentation within the agreed timescales using audio typing skills.

File test results and loose histories regularly and accurately as appropriate, following Trust policies on Information Governance and patient confidentiality.

Retrieve, log and return case notes/medical records, keeping these in accordance with Trust policy (‘Case note tracking’ and ‘Filing in Case notes’).

Follow Trust and departmental processes and contribute to their design and development as required.

Monitor the e-Referral Service electronic GP referrals printing and downloading new referrals in order that they enter the clinical triage system and logging their acceptance accurately.

Maintain a working knowledge of hospital systems so that enquiries can be dealt with efficiently, including regular usage of Medway patient administration system and understanding the Referral to Treatment pathway.
