'''Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. We have a number of maintenance contracts that we have held for numerous years and operate on a 'fix it right first time' approach. We're ideally looking for either an additional mot tester (class 4 & 7) or someone who's confident in diagnosing faults on their own, we're a small team but always help each other when required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using appropriate tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements and filter replacements
- Inspect vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, and exhaust for potential problems
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed
- Carry out replacement of timing belts and clutches
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and answering any questions
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for repairs
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Customer service-oriented with good communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
