PMR Construction are looking for a Construction Buyer to join the team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Team the role will be to manage the procurement of all materials and subcontractor packages of works ensuring the most competitive rates, on time and on budget.
- Develop and maintain effective supply sources
- Prepare accurate quantities and materials schedules
- Issue out enquiries and analyse quotations
- Create material lists for each project
- Checking quotes for materials and subcontractors to get best value for money
- Place orders for material and plant for projects
- Maintain purchasing information system, including house type changes and price increases
- Work closely with the commercial team to prepare the working budget
- Review invoices and queries and resolve/respond in a timely manner
- Liaise with Site Management to co-ordinate material deliveries to enable construction work to proceed to agreed programmes
- Monitor, report and address material losses/damage/stock on site to reduce excess expenditure
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
- Cost analysis of projects identification of cost engineering solutions
- Maintain supply chain database and approved contractor list
- Maintain material price lists and monitor on costs
- Material and procurement tracking
- Ensure compliance with company standard procedures
- Negotiate prices for new and existing materials
- Resolve any commercial issues by liaising with the suppliers
- Manage accurate plant hire reports including PMR Owned plant and hired in
- Preparing cost reports in order to maximise efficiency
- Agreeing delivery times and dates in line with works programmed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
