We are currently seeking an experienced **Head of Operations**to join a well-established, rapidly growing, family-run SME based in **Hull.**This is a varied and challenging role where you will be responsible for leading different teams consisting of Engineers, Project Managers and Purchasing & Warehouse to forecast, plan and deliver the installation and maintenance of pumpsand pumping systems.

**Key responsibilities**
- Leading the Project Management team to forecast workload demand and ensure all jobs are delivered on time and within budget to the customers satisfaction.
- Manage and motivate the engineering team planning jobs in the most efficient way maintaining overall oversight of the jobs and ensure that resource, planning and processes deliver in line with associated estimated cost and contract requirements.
- Manage purchasing and warehouse team and establish the strategy to ensure parts, stock and supplies are purchased cost effectively and are readily available and accessible for all jobs when required.
- Lead technical meetings with teams and other collaborators to regularly review existing practices, monitoring and analysing data with a view to removing inefficiency and improving results where possible.
- Use KPI’s and data to measure, drive and improve operational performance on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment or from a supply/install background. Pumps/pumping stations experience would be highly desirable
- Confident leader and team player with people management and coaching skills capable of problem solving, analysing root cause and implementing decisions and change
- Able to drive output to achieve targets and objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across different levels within the organisation with the ability to clearly articulate information
- Degree in engineering or other related technical discipline is an advantage
