Job Title: Nurture Mentor - Children & Young People

Salary Range: £26,719 (unqualified) £29,555 (qualified level 3 diploma residential childcare) plus £60 per sleep in shift.

Location: Kirklington, Newark

Full time contracts - 40 hours per week

Part time contracts available

Applications from unqualified care workers with transferable skills are welcome as we will fund your level 3 diploma. £1,000 bonus is paid upon successful completion of qualification along with £500 golden hello bonus will be paid on successful completion of probation.

Role Overview: As a Nurture Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in our dedicated team, providing essential support to both residents and fellow staff members. Your responsibilities will be aimed at creating a nurturing environment where every child and young person feels valued and supported. Your contribution will be instrumental in helping our residents overcome challenges and thrive in their new home.

Key Responsibilities:
Foster a warm and inclusive home environment that promotes the well-being and development of each resident.
Provide individualised care and support to residents, especially those facing learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, social, or physical disabilities.
Facilitate access to tailored support programs, adapting activities and utilising appropriate resources.
Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and productive atmosphere within the home.
Work closely with colleagues, external specialists, and families to create personalised care plans for each resident.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, contributing to the home's inclusive and supportive ethos.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a caregiving or support role with children and young people is essential
Possessing a Level 2 or Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce is desirable.
A background in social work, psychology, special education, or a related field is advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with diverse needs.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and strategies for inclusive care is a plus.
Must be able to work on a rota and work sleep in shifts
