**Kitchen Porter Supervisor - £26,200 rising to £28,034 after 6-month probation + Benefits - London**

**The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Porter Supervisor to join our team

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and organised individual to support the Head Kitchen Porter in managing a team of Kitchen Porters. You will assist in the cleaning of the kitchen and catering areas, maintain the cleaning materialsstore and PPE in accordance with Inns Policies and agreed standards of hygiene and health, as well as help with basic food preparation and service as directed by the senior chef in charge.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Kitchen Porter Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

- Support the Head Kitchen Porter to plan, organise and supervise the work of all other Kitchen Porters.
- Deputise for the Head Kitchen Porter as and when required.
- Assist with cleaning and storing all kitchen, catering and service equipment safely and securely in accordance with the Inns policies.
- Maintain the highest possible standards hygiene and cleanliness throughout all designated working areas in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- Transport food and equipment to the required service areas as directed by the head kitchen porter or senior chef on duty.
- Assist in maintaining an orderly working area throughout the kitchen.
- Ensure there is a continuous supply of sanitizer and paper towels at every workstation and that all hand sinks also have a supply of paper towels and soap.
- To guide and supervise Casual Porters as required.
- Reporting any faulty equipment to the head kitchen porter or head chef senior manager and decommissioning any dangerous equipment immediately.
- To undergo training courses and attend meetings when necessary.
- To be prepared to change work methods and shift patterns or sections to help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Kitchen Porter Supervisor are:

- Experience of working within a kitchen environment at a similar level with a customer focus and positive attitude.
- Experience of supervising staff.
- An ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload with minimum supervision.
- An ability to perform basic food preparation and service.
- Knowledge of how to maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment.
- Experience of working well in a team and developing productive relationships.
- Good verbal communications skills.
- Able to work flexibly as required ensuring duties are carried out to the highest standard.
