**Environment Agency**:
**Local Nature Recovery Strategy - Biodiversity Technical Lead**:
Tackling the climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis is at the top of the agenda. In this role you will provide practical action on these strategic and fundamental issues.

**Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) are a new England-wide system of spatial strategies**,** designed to support the restoration and recovery of nature. In this role you will be part of the multi-agency partnership teams developing these plans. You will bring Environment Agency information and data as well as biodiversity specialist knowledge in order to influence and shape the strategies.

Your ability to build close working relationships both within the organisation and with partners will key.

**This is a new role and is a 2-year fixed contract until March 2025.**

We are seeking an Ecologist / Biodiversity Specialist with field and office-based experience and proven ability in delivering conservation work.
A knowledge of Geomorphology and Fisheries would also be an advantage.

- ** Enthusiasm**. As a biodiversity advocate, you will be passionate about your topic and be able to promote and champion it.
- ** To be an influential friend**. You will be skilled at building trusted working relationships in order to guide and influence people and what they do.
