Campervan Converter

Due to business growth and huge increase in demand for our professional services and conversion work DC Conversions, part of DC Leisure Group Ltd are looking to expand our rapidly growing family-run team with career opportunities within the business. As a commercial vehicle conversion company, we specialise in VW plus other makes of camper van and motorhome conversions, we are quickly becoming a recognized player in the North West, dedicated in creating bespoke, innovative, high-spec campervans with key attention to detail.

**Specific job responsibilities**:

- Ply and carpet lining, sound deadening, insulation
- Floor fitting
- Window fitting
- Elevating roof installations
- Rock n Roll/Fixed Bed installations
- Seating and seatbelt installations
- Electrical installations and wiring including 12v, 240v, solar panel systems, LED lighting
- Heater installations - diesel and gas
- Manufacturing and installation of campervan furniture including kitchens with necessary utilities.
- Installation of external accessories including awnings, alloy wheels, side bars, bike racks, roof rails, satellite systems, aerials, and other ancillaries
- Liaising with customers following installations and handover.
- Other tasks commensurate with the role.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Must have mechanical and practical hands-on experience with the campervan, motorhome, caravan or manufacturing industry
- Workshops skills including a general knowledge in joinery/carpentry
- Knowledge and good practice - leisure gas systems and installations
- Knowledge and good practice - 12v leisure electrical systems and installations (auto electrical)
- Knowledge and good practice - leisure water systems and installations
- Excellent working knowledge of hand tools, power tools and precision woodworking equipment.
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Must be well organised, hardworking with a positive attitude but willing to learn new skills.
- Must be able to use their initiative working unsupervised as well as part of a team.
- Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Be punctual with excellent time management skills to complete tasks within a given time frame and to a high standard.
- Driving license is required.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
