Maintenance Engineer

Your role will consist of carrying out day to day maintenance, repairing and improving company equipment in order to maximise performance as well as maintaining standards within the company. The successful applicant will work with the existing MaintenanceEngineer.

Hours of work will be 0700-1700 working Monday to Friday, this is a 48 hour per week contract. Occasional weekend work may be required. You must be flexible to cover breakdowns, absence and holidays and will be expected to work additional hours, as and whenrequired by the business.

Salary for this role is £40k per annum.

**Responsibilities**:

- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines on site.
- Diagnosing breakdown issues.
- Fitting new parts where required.
- Check to ensure all equipment is working to the correct standard.
- Carrying out routine maintenance work.
- Respond to any equipment faults.
- Liaise with various departments as well as customers.
- Dealing with unplanned issues or emergencies.
- Completion of scheduled maintenance activities in line with production KPI's.
- Delivering line performance while providing support within engineering.

**Key Qualifications/Skills/Experience**:

- Level 3 or equivalent with an electrical/mechanical background.
- Fault finding both mechanically and electrically.
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Problem solving.
- Able to work as an individual as well as part of a team.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent time management.
- Experience using the following machinery: CNC, Edge Banders, Dust Extraction and Beam Saws.
- PLC knowledge would be advantageous.
