**Wider ops / Whole class woodwind tutor**

**Woodwind tutor for small group and 1-1 lessons**

12 hours in total per week

Tuesday evening 4 hours 4pm - 8pm ( 4 hours)

Wednesday daytime 9am - 3.30 ( 5.5 hours)

Thursday morning 8.30 - 11 ( 2.5 hours)

We currently teach in primary and secondary schools across the authority as well as providing an after school music provision at our Music Centre based in Sale.

**About you**

Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure quality music provision for pupils.

You will have excellent organisational and ICT skills and an ability to work efficiently to deadlines. Excellent communication, planning and delivery is essential to this role, and above all else we want to recruit someone with a love for teaching children and inspiring the next generation of children to be musical.

**About the Role**

**Instrumental woodwind tutor - individual and small group lessons**

This role is for a committed and inspiring woodwind tutor to deliver instrumental lessons during weekdays at Trafford Schools and at our after school music centre at the Claremont Centre in Sale on Tuesday. The contract is for 12 hours a week which is full time on teachers pay and conditions on the unqualified teacher scale 3 -6. The age of woodwind students is from 5 up to 18 years old (Year 1 - 13), complete beginners to diploma level. The ability to teach a second instrument is desirable. There is scope to

**Instrumental woodwind tutor - Wider opportunities ( whole class projects)**

This role is for a committed and inspiring woodwind tutor to deliver whole class woodwind projects ( usually each project lasts one term) in Trafford schools. The contract is for 10 hours which can be split across 2 days or more. Projects for one class are an hour and so typical timings for projects would be 9am - 10am, 10am

You will be required to support our termly concerts (up to 3 times per year) on a weekend.

After school hours are fixed however daytime schedules may have some flexibility on the day. There is opportunity to build on teaching taking place in schools.
