Proactive Personnel is recruiting experienced Paint Sprayers for our client based in Derby on a straight permanent basis. This role will be mostly working away from home during the week.

Our clients have over 23 years of experience in the industry which has grown incredibly since being established in 2000. They work with all of the transport industries' biggest names such as; Bombardier, East Midlands Trains, Rolls-Royce, GWR, and Serco.

**Job Role**:
As a spray painter, you will be responsible for filming, smoothing and repairing each products surface, mixing the coating liquids and spraying each layer according to specifications. You may also be required to pay decorative designs using stencils and coat hard to reach areas using a hand brush.

**Spray Painter Responsibilities**:

- Removing rust and other loose materials using acid or a wire brush
- Filling, sanding and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed
- Selecting and mixing the required coating liquids
- Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern
- Spraying machines, products and wall areas using industry techniques
- Spraying designs using stencils, if required.
- Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, guns and other spraying equipment after each spray job
- Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried

**Spray Painter Requirements**:

- Experience working as spray painter
- In-depth knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques
- Ability to spray to require DFT’s
- Ability to see subtle colour differences
- Ability to read and interpret drawings

**Hours**:
42.5 hours a week - OT paid after 39 hours at 1.5x

**Pay**:
Paid up to £18 per hour depending on experience. Working away allowance, hotel & food will be all paid for.

**Job Term** - Permanent Contract - Full time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
