**Company description**

We are a small independent company. We currently have two Pre-Schools in the area and Primrose Cottage will be our first full daycare. We are a very small setting with a home from home environment.

We are looking for a level 2/3 practitioner who can work up to 42.5hours a week full time. We would consider a job share or apprentice. The team will be very small so a good team work ethic is a must.

We are open 8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Friday. 51 weeks a year. Bank Holidays and Christmas week including Christmas Eve we are closed.

**Responsibilities**:
Assist with the day to day running of the setting encouraging good practice by the staff team with regard to individual and group work with the children.

Develop excellent communications with parents / guardians, encouraging them to participate in their child’s progress and development.

Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements, looking for progression and continuity. Where appropriate, participate in a ‘Keyworker’ system, and take a special interest in a specified number of children.

In consultation with the Manager, formulate, operate and evaluate an annual programme of activities, suitable for the age range of the children, following the guidelines for the implementation of ‘Early Years foundation Stage” Curriculum.

Be responsible for creating a stimulating and attractive environment.

In conjunction with the Manager, ensure that all required standards, ratios and conditions of registration are maintained at all times within the room.

Assist with the preparation for OFSTED inspections and action any recommendations made by the Inspector, in consultation with the Manager.

Assist with setting up and packing away provision.

Have a good understanding on the EYFS and child development.

Assist with the organisation of and attend regular staff meetings and appropriate training sessions, which ensure staff are kept up-to-date on Company Policy and Procedures and OFSTED requirements.
