DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

**WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?**

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
**Role Responsibilities**:

- To receive pallets from inbound sources and carry out visual quality assessment and confirm the data held against them is correct by use of a visual stock recognition and physical input into IRDT on PPT, then to transfer pallets to the area required.
- To unload, check, breakdown and label tippers.
- To collate and check stock for trade and transfer and load vehicles accordingly
- To compile loads in SCA using the knowledge of brand recognition and brand pack codes, loads must be compiled neatly to customer requirements, safe to move and with no damages.
- To be able to check SCA loads by the use of brand recognition and brand pack codes.
- To compile and check export loads.
- To store replenishment pallets in the appropriate apertures within the SCA with the safe use of fork trucks.
- To move pallets of stock between all areas of the warehouse as necessary.
- To pack mixed cases for trade customers using the knowledge of brand recognition and brand pack codes, cases must be packed neatly in the correct configurations.
- To break down and feed the mixed order unit with appropriate stock.
- To investigate any stock errors & to stock take in all areas of the warehouse, as and when necessary.
- To have the appropriate knowledge of export load configuration requirements.
- To operate all types of truck electric, PPT, Pedestrian PPT, Reach, and Counter Balance Trucks
- To scan all stock within the customers Track & Trace system process
- To update the DADS system with all stock movements by the use of the IRDT and PPTs into and out of all areas of the warehouse.
- To collect and return the appropriate mechanical handling equipment for the task and carry out all specified checking and maintenance routines at the beginning, during and at the end of the usage period
- To collect and store waste materials for recycling as directed by the Supervisor
- To collect and stack safely and neatly blue, white and euro pallets in the pallet bay for loading as directed by the Supervisor.
- To ensure working area is kept tidy and safe at all times by completing regular housekeeping duties
- Any other operational requests that fall within the warehouse day to day tasks

- Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment or similar role and be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures (PPT, Pedestrian PPT, Reach, and Counter Balance Trucks**)**:

- Previous experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload

A recognised qualification in Manual Handling or equivalent will be well-received.
