Here at GXO, we are currently searching for a Driver Trainer to come and join our site in Lea Green on the Coop contract. As a Driver Trainer you will be conducting driving assessments for potential new starters coming into the business while delivering driver CPC training to all current driver employees on the site.

You’ll join us on a full time, permanent basis, working predominantly any 4 days out of 7 (10 hour working days), with a flexible approach to start times to help support the 24 hour operation.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to **£41,500 per annum**. In addition, we offer 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Complete driver vehicle checks and ensure these are audited correctly
- Maintain the correct use of onboarding tachograph equipment while ensuring the Tachomaster record and ongoing maintenance is completed
- Conduct inductions and manual handling training to all employees on site
- Monitor the standard of new drivers and offer information, support, and guidance to other departments where applicable
- Participate in health and safety meetings and complete health and safety checks at the site

**What you need to succeed at GXO**
- Up to date knowledge of WTD and all relevant transport legislation
- Previous experience within a large transport operation would be ideal
- A clean Large Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driving Licence Category C+E
- Large Goods Vehicle Instructor Qualification (NRI or equivalent)
