Trainee Fibre Splicer

Kelly Group is recruiting the very best talent to become Engineers to work on our Virgin Media contract. We will provide industry leading training on Safety and technical skills, including world class customer service for the delivery of a range of products.

We will teach and mentor you in new skills, enabling you to work at height and in the underground telephony networks, keeping the UK connected. Although we don’t require you to hold any specific qualifications, it is advantageous if you have a good level of Maths and English and a desire to work and connect with people.

**Responsibilities**:

- Installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre blowing equipment to required standards, including fault finding on existing network.
- Live network Fusion splicing using state of the art Splicing Equipment.
- Splicing and testing of external optical fibres to the end customer premise in line with quality standards.
- Working at height and in the underground network splicing and connecting AFN’s to the PIA infrastructure.
- Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets and KPI’s.
- Adherence with Health and Safety legislation.
